    Music Background & Experience
I first became interested in the guitar as a young teenager, and during that period, I studied both classical and jazz guitar. In high school, while continuing my music studies, I played in various rock bands in the Washington metropolitan area. I graduated from Laurel High School in 1982 and subsequently began my undergraduate work at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I received my Bachelor of Music from Berklee as a member of the class of 1987.

I have been living in the Baltimore-Washington area, teaching guitar and playing in various blues bands since graduating from Berklee. For over fifteen years, I have been the lead guitarist for the band "Blue Smoke," and I have been teaching students blues, rock, classical and jazz guitar. Also, for several years, I was the manager of the Laurel branch of Rosso Brothers Music where I met my wife.

In 2000, I released my first CD, entitled "Something's Got To Give." If you would like to listen to a song from my album, one is available for download above.
